Norway acquired its own Norwegian king in Magnus Eriksson's son Håkon VI (1355-1380). Written sources of the time report that Håkon minted coins at Akershus, evidence of which is found in hohlpfennigs with a crowned letter "h". His ten-year old son, Olav, who became regent with his powerful mother, Queen Margaret, issued similar hohlpfennigs with a crowned letter "O". |
