In 1871,
12 coins were found during grave-digging at the cemetery outside Stange
Church in Hedmark. Eleven were pennies
minted for Olav Kyrre (1067-1093) and
one was made for the Danish king, Svend Estridsen (1047-1074).
In 1840, 9 Norwegian coins were found dating from the time of Eirik Magnusson (1280-1299) and Duke Håkon Magnusson (1280-1299). |
