In 1891,
416 coins and some unminted silver were found at Nesbø in Møre
& Romsdal. A further 65 coins were found upon re-examination of the
site.
German and Anglo-Saxon pennies make up the major part of the find. One of the three known pennies from St. Olav (1015-1030) to have been discovered in Norway was found here. Dating: after 1023. |
