Kaupanger Stave Church in Sogn & Fjordane

In 1862, 72 bracteates and 36 silver coins were found during restoration work in the church. The coins were handed over to the Bergen Museum the same year. During archaeological investigations in 1964 and 1965, 1348 coins were found, most of which are from the Middle Ages.
