In 1894, approximately 418 coins were found along with unminted silver (a crucifix, rings and jewellery) during work in a field at Hårr in Varhaug, Hå in Rogaland. According to the finder, the hoard had been deposited in a horn.

Anglo-Saxon and German pennies make up the principal part of this hoard. 
Dating: after 1017.
