In 1880,
under some rocks in Fuglevik in Kråkerøy parish in Østfold,
approximately 80 coins were found, together with a small silver bar (2.8
grams). Sources claim that several coins were destroyed by the finder in
an attempt to determine their silver content.
Except for a single German penny, the find contained only Anglo-Saxon pennies. Dating: after approximately 991. |
