Web-browser
Your Web-browser should support frames and Java scripts. This means that you will
have to use Netscape 2.0 or later, or an equivalent browser from another
distributor.
We have had some bad experiance using Netscape 3.0 combined with Windows 3.1, so
we recommend using Netscape 2.02 if you use Windows 3.1. We have not had these
problems on other platforms.
"PlugIn"
At the moment you do not need any PlugIn, though in some of our
pages we are testing the PlugIn technology. For the time being this applies to
the facsimile archives of
Norsk Ordbok,
Trønderordboka,
and the
Place name archive.
The product we are testing is
ViewDirector from TMSSequoia.
The current version of ViewDirector runs on all Window-platforms, and there will be
released a Macintosh and UNIX version soon.
Hardware requirements
If your hardware is capable of running your browser, you do not
need any special hardware to view our pages. Though you may get a better result on a
high resolution monitor. We recommend a SuperVGA monitor for an IBM compatible PC,
and a 17 inch monitor for a Mac. If you understand norwegian, you can take a look
